What is ECO4?

ECO4 is a UK government scheme, designed to tackle fuel poverty, reduce carbon emissions, and save people money on energy bills.

This is achieved by upgrading the heating and insulation on domestic properties at no cost to the occupier or owner of the property.

What is GBIS?

The Great British Insulation Scheme (GBIS) is an initiative launched by the UK Government to enhance efficient energy use in residential properties.

GBIS can provide various insulation measures including - Cavity Wall, Loft, Internal or External Wall, Room-in-Roof Insulation, and Underfloor Insulation.

Qualifying Criteria

In the past, funding schemes from the UK Gov have required people to be receiving benefits in order to qualify. This is not the case ECO4 & GBIS Funding.

Any one of the following criteria entitles you to funding;

- Anyone at the property on benefits

- Household gross income under £31k

- Anyone at property with a respiratory condition

- Aged over 65

- Have children under 5 or pregnant mothers

- Anyone at the property with a Cardiovascular condition

- Anyone at the property with cancer

- Limited mobility

- Severe learning disabilities

- Autoimmune and immunodeficiency disease

- Recent hospital admission resulting from a fall at home
